Cases

I have the original N7 version of this and love it. Tried multiple cases and this one stuck. Most importantly, nothing covers the bezels when you have it open. It's also easy to slip in and out of and the stand mechanism is good.

It was a no-brainer to hold out for this one for my 2013 Nexus.

Yes, I have one for my Nook, and have been very pleased. I ordered one for the soon to arrive new Nexus 7, at under $6 shipped, it was a no brainer. I may later get something else, but it should be fine to start with. I have a Timbuk2 sleeve that I hope the tablet will fit in temporarily.

It certainly was going to be my first choice until I saw it back-ordered for 2 weeks. Can anyone comment on how the MoKo differs from this? Obviously there are subtle differences but the way the tablet would sit in both cases seems to be quite similar.

Official Travel Case came in the mail today. Fits pretty well and functions as promised. It would probably work well in a book bag or backpack, provided there isn't a lot of loose metal or sharp objects that could crush up against it, since it has no rigidity or mechanism to keep it closed. I'm still waiting on the iBlaison case, but I think this will do for now. Definitely overpriced though...

I originally started with my iPad 2 and the smart cover only. Then I ever so slightly banged into a wall and dinged a corner, leaving the bezel and screen a bit loose there. I couldn't believe how poorly the iPad 2 could not withstand even the slightest shock. Afterwards I got a polycarbonate case for back to protect the back and corners. Locking the barn door after the horses fled, but at least the rest is well protected now.

My Nexus 7 hasn't arrived yet, but I would like a solution like that if available: a hard back to protect the back and corner. And whatever they call the equivalent of a smart cover for the Nexus 7. I saw on a YouTube video that an iPad smart cover also works on a Nexus 7 (i.e. it will sleep and awake with the presence of the magnets in the right spot), but the size is of course different.

An all-in-one case like that would be ok too.

What do you think about this case, I really like how it looks

According to amazon it will be released on the 26 of August.
I found it here New Nexus 7 2013 Cases and Sleeves
I also like the Experience Cover and the SUPCASE Leather Case that they have there.

The outside does look nice indeed. But there really aren't any pics of how the device sits inside. Does it cover the bezel like other typical "slide-in" versions? Or does it just grab the edges somehow? Difficult to tell. In the interests of not wanting to wait for the MoKo, I think I'm going for the i-Blason.

Thanks for the pics above. I'd be interested to see a few shots of your i-Blason once you get it.

Check this out, I have this case for the original Nexus and it's great for me. I pre ordered for my new nexus 7. Amazon.com : Poetic Slimline Case for Google Nexus 7 2nd Gen 2013 Android Tablet Black (With Auto Wake / Sleep Function) (3 Year Manufacturer Warranty From Poetic) : Computers & Accessories

Thanks for all the helpful suggestions and feedback on the cases thus far. Based on that, I think I've narrowed it down to these (in order of most likely to purchase):

1. Moko Case (I like the carbon fiber black)
2. i-Blason Case
3. FINTIE Case
4. i-UniK Case
5. SUPCASE

Though I don't think I want to wait until Aug. 20th for the Moko so I might just pull the trigger on the i-Blason. Are people still liking the i-Blason?

I just finished ordering the first one on your list, $12 all in. I like that style the best, it doesn't cover the face and the stand folds out under the bottom rather than those ones that just fold into a little triangle at the rear-back.

I bought the iBlason to hold me over until my Moko (the carbon fiber one you like) comes in. I mean, getting both is still cheaper than opting for the official travel case.

Just saw that Seidio is planning on making cases for the new Nexus 7! I can't wait to get one. :D

I do need to get something for the meantime though. I hate having to use the box as a case when traveling...

Hand strap looked narrower to me, thought it might be less comfortable. That's the only thing that looked different to me, so it's probably a fine choice too.

I just ordered this one from Amazon, to be shipped August 20. I bought one from Walmart, but it's going back.

Any eta on this?

Do any of you have experience with 'rooCase' brand cases? Amazon has several styles (duel-view, duel station, origami) for $0.01 each. (in black, $5 shipping).

I'd also like to know more about which, if any, cases will work with a qi charging pad.

I have ordered this case but not due to ship till 8/12, reviews generally good but since the old Nexus did not do wireless no comments on that in reviews. I should be able to comment after the 15th or so assuming the case actually ships on time..

Think my case is finally coming this week taking a little longer than expected. As long as it's here before I leave for college I'll be happy :) I ordered the i-Blason case

The amazing galaxy s3 :D

Just got the i-blason case, here's how it looks.
I can smell some chemicals, figure they'll fade.
