Glad you found one you liked, I just looked at one on Amazon. Does it stay closed, with a magnet?

Amazon said it has very weak magnets to keep it closed . . . It doesn't stay closed without a phone in it. The magnets, if there, ARE very weak! That's not a big deal for me though because I keep the front folded to the rear most of the time. It's almost always in my hand unless I'm cooking or sitting at my puter!

Yeah, mine is usually in my hand also. But I keep my closed when not actually on it, hoping that might protect the screen.

I'm going to get this one... Yeah I know it says iPhone, but the 3RDi Galleries is local and they sell Samsung Galaxy cases as well as iPhone cases at its local kiosks. My daughter had a 3RDi case for her S5.

Am I the sole leather lover re: phone cases?

No. I like leather too, but unfortunately I can't stand the notebook style cases. VRS has a Simpli Mod case which is a minimalist shell with a stitched fake leather back that looks nice. But with the S8 I'm going down the clear case rabbit hole. At least to start.

On my iPad 1 I had a Zagg LeatherSkin which was the best thing ever. It was like a leather sticker that you apply to the back. Gave really great grip so I could easily one-hand it. It looked very nice but added no thickness. I stored the iPad in a leather sleeve by Saddleback Leather Co.

I couldn't decide so ordered a Spigen Tough Armor, Supcase Unicorn Beetle and a Ringke Onyx in Black. Went ahead and through a Anker QC 3.0 charger, a 10ft and 3ft USB C charger cord in buggy too as well as a cheap screen protector to get me by.

What will get here first; cases or phone lol

The Onyx went back on sale with a coupon code yesterday, couldn't pass that up. I liked the fact that it has a groove for the fingerprint sensor so you're better guided to the spot without looking at it. Surprised Spigen and Caseology didn't do that in their cases.

Yes. Had one for my 7 edge and iPhone 7. Really good case imo. Adds some bulk, but is great for protection.

I got that one. It's a great looking case. It is not going to add much bulk to the phone, I don't think. Quality leather. Can't wait for the phone to get here so I can try it!
