Casino & sportsbook apps crashing

[Android Central Question]

I hope someone else can weigh in, I'm at the end of my rope. I have a Motorola G5 plus and live in PA., close to NJ, so i like to drive over and play some slots and do a little sports betting on my phone. (sugarhouse casino, golden nugget casino, draftkings sportsbook) Problem is these apps don't work well, pretty much don't want to work AT ALL on my phone. I can get a good cell signal and the apps still flicker, slow down, and outright crash. I can't really get on wifi either. It's gotten to the point where i can barely use the app for more than 5 minutes. I've cleared my cache, uninstalled and reinstalled the apks, force stopped, etc. Is my phone just a powerless piece of crap or is there something else at play here? Sorry if i left any pertinent info out, just ask. Thank you...

Welcome to Android Central! You're only installing them as apks? Are you able to install them directly from the Play Store? Sideloading apps increases the risk of crashes (if the app isn't fully compatible with the phone) as well as malware (since most apk sites don't vet the files they post).
