Cast Screen Button Appeared today for Chromecast

Has the "Cast Screen" showed up on the quick options screen today for anyone? When I select it, it then shows my 2 Chromecasts and notes it as "Beta." But when I select it, it says it has failed to cast to the device. And note I haven't updated to 4.4.3 yet. Anybody else have it magically appear today? If so, been able to make it work?

Had it appear, still on 4.4.2, and it has failed for me.

Looks like the WatchESPN app causes the button to show up. I upgraded to 4.4.3 and then the button disappeared. I decided to try Chromecast via the Watch ESPN app(which I then learned Charter has blocked, assholes!) and the button is back but still fails.
