Casting YouTube onto TV

All of a sudden I'm getting stuttering audio and picture freezing casting YouTube onto my TV using a 1st Gen Chromecast. I can cast directly to my TV without going through the Chromecast without these issues but it's a pain in the butt to set up and the video quality isn't as good.
Anyone else have this problem? Worked fine for the last 3 months and has just started playing up. I've reset the Chromecast and still no joy. Not sure if the problem is with the P20 Pro, the YouTube app or the Chromecast!

If it's playing directly off the Chromecast then it's the dongle, not the phone. Can you make sure that nothing is blocking the WiFi signal to it? Do you have any issues with other video-casting apps or just YouTube? Very unlikely, but if it's the phone, have you tried casting with another device (tablet, computer, another phone)?

Try PC mode too I always use PC mode.

It's probably the chromecast. Similar issue with mine until I bought a new chrome cast.

1st Gen Chromecast does the same. thing with my LG phone. I'm pretty sure it's a common Chromecast problem.
