Cell or WiFi when downloading?

How does the Skyrocket decide which path, cell or WiFi to use when downloading?

Seems WiFi should be the automatic choice when it's available. Or do you need to manually select the choice?

If you have wifi on it SHOULD default to wifi if you are connected to a network
