Cellular South users 2.1 update

Has anyone heard anything about the update from cellular south?
They keep saying that we will get the 2.1 update at the end of June. Well folks there isn't much June left. Anyone heard any official date or just the same end of June talk.

I sent them a dm on twitter and they said they are currently testing it.

I sent them a text via hero and these are the 2 replies I received:

Beth: The update is scheduled to be released by June 30. To ensure that the software is working properly, the update may be delayed just a few days.

Beth: You will have to sync to a computer to update the software.

It now looks as if Cellular south has pushed this update back to:
Disc Center: It will be released by July 12. There were several bugs to clear with HTC software before we could release the update.
me: Do you know any of the features that will be included?
Disc Center: MMS and enhanced web capabilities. for more info google search 1.5 vs 2.1 android update.

I rooted 3 weeks ago, got tired of waiting, had way too many issues with stock 1.5 software that no one would fix, root, and use bittersweet rom 1.2, soon to be 2.0 it is made for cellsouth hero users specifically..by a 15 year old kid btw, phone runs awesome, fast, snappy, and the 2.1 software is way better with more features available in the market...maybe cs should hire this kid????

Just sent a text the discover center and got the July 12 date due to several bugs before they can release the update. Kinda sad actually, I mean if people can figure out how to root using the Sprint release you would think they announced this back in December and could have it worked out by now.

If it's like the sprint update,it sucks waiting but i'd rather have them get all the kinks/bugs out before the release.The sprint release still has bugs that should of been fixed before release.

Cellular South Android 2.1 update

Cellular South We have approved the Hero 2.1 Android update and it has now been handed over to Google and HTC for their final approval. When this occurs, the software will be available to download from the online Discover Center. We will provide more details here next week as soon as it?s available.
