Certain games not working... Problem with the phone?

Lately, I've been installing some new games, and a few of them are having issues. They're not intensive games, just simple little ones (Tiny Farm, and Muffin Knight, off the top of my head), but they don't seem to work on my phone. Both keep automatically restarting when I actually try to play the game. The weird thing is, when I go on the market and look at reviews (and narrow it down to Galaxy Nexus users), nobody seems to report the same problem with the games. They say occasional crashing/ freezing, but it doesn't seem like anyone has the same problem as me, where they always restart when I actually try to play the games.

Heck, even the Facebook app doesn't work right for me (it never lets me post status updates or comments), and it doesn't appear a large number of Galaxy Nexus users have the same problem.

I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling these apps, and the problems remain. Since it doesn't seem like other Galaxy Nexus users are having the same issues, does that mean that it's not a lack of optimization on the apps themselves, but rather, my phone, specifically, having some kind of defect? :/ I certainly hope that's not the case...

Check your phone and see if you have "Force GPU Rendering" checked under developer options. This is a feature that is not optimized for all apps and will cause those apps to crash when they are used. Unchecking it should fix your problem.

If that's not it, then you have stumped me.

Nope. The only thing I had checked in developer options (aside from USB debugging) is that "Don't keep activities" option, but that wouldn't have any effect, would it?

Did you install some sort of task killer/manager?

Nah. I mean, I have Juice Defender, but I don't think that acts as a task killer/ manager, does it?

Also, Muffin Knight finally seems to be working, but it repeatedly turns upside down in between levels (forcing me to constantly switch which way I'm holding the phone).

that sounds like you have something screwy goin on with your phone. Does your screen flip like that while you are doing anything else? internet browsing? other games?

Nope, Muffin Knight is the only game I noticed the screen flipping on, and I've had the phone for about a month or two. Like I said, though, it's strange, because it doesn't actually do it during gameplay, but between levels. Although, the longer I played it, the less it seemed to flip. Maybe I was just moving my hands a little too much and the accelerometer apparently thought I had been flipping the phone...?

Also, not sure if this is also somehow related, but Order and Chaos will not let me make in-app purchases (in this case, to renew my subscription to the game). I've tried twice to renew my subscription, and both times, after I submit my payment, it eventually returns an error saying the purchase was unsuccessful. I actually contacted Gameloft about this, didn't hear from them for a week, then when they did respond, they simply apologized and said that they would respond as soon as they could. It's been a month, now, since I got that e-mail. I replied a few days ago asking if there had been any update, and I have yet to hear from them...

Feint is the same way, they dont like to respond very quickly. Muffin knight might just be a problem with the app itself if its the only one doing that to you.

Also, add Elemental Knights Online and Blood & Glory to my list of games that just perpetually restart... I don't think any Nexus users have reviewed Elemental Knights (except me, giving it a one star for restarting), but several have review B&G, and none seem to have the problem I do...

This is really frustrating... Why is it that certain games just don't work with my phone, despite working for other people that have the same kind of phone? That doesn't make any sense to me.

I have the same phone and it duz the same thing exactly.it takes u to the start menu and win u press play game or start it jest takes u back to your home page.

I did notice that if u start a new game on tiny farm it will let u in, but jest for a few seconds thin kicks u back to home page. maybe that can give a hint to someone who knows more on the situation.
