Chances of Pixel coming to ATT?

What do you all think the chances are of the Pixel 2 coming to ATT? I know that I can buy unlocked but doing so keeps me from being able to use wifi calling (and texting).

Thanks

I think zero chance. AT&T has made it clear they will only support things like HD Voice and Wifi calling on iPhones and branded devices.

Sigh...... Which is why I'll probably end up with the Note 8. If my Nexus 6p can make it that long. It's on its last leg. So much so I've had to go back to my iPhone 6 Plus #firstworldproblems

Maybe. AT&T is good with iOS devices having these features (I spend time answering questions on the AT&T forums off/on, answer this question a LOT, in various forms).
There was also an HTC that went through their "certification" process (the 10 I believe), and has this enabled, despite not (necessarily all) being branded.
Obviously, most of us using devices like my 6P are frustrated by the state of things, but I think they could "swing", they sure did with things like "tethering on unlimited", something no one thought would *ever* happen either...

So the argument is then that Google wouldn't let AT&T put their apps on the phone?

Maybe.
I bet the bigger issue is Google's new messaging (over any data connection, including WiFi) protocol, with RCS, and AT&T doesn't seem to be leaning that direction at all (so far most carrier adoption is outside the US).
I have a 6P, do Pixel phones from Verizon have zero apps, from them?

When you say "Coming to ATT," what do you mean? I bought my 6P directly from Google and got a SIM card from AT&T. Works great.

Yes the phone works fine. But ATT doesn't enable wifi calling and texting on it. As such, when I'm in my office, my phone is a paper weight as I don't get service inside. So when I say coming to ATT I mean will they start selling it too or remain a Verizon exclusive?

A week ago I finally got fed up with that same problem (office paperweighting and we can't hook up personal devices to the company WiFi) and switched to Verizon. Was the Pixel a Verizon exclusive? I thought one could buy it from Google on day-one with a SIM for any carrier?

You can yes. But since ATT doesn't sell it, they don't allow WiFi CX calling for some reason. But yes, I have my ATT sim card in it and aside from wifi calling, the service is fine
