change camera shutter sound

Phone - HTC One M7 on O2 (UK)

since updating to Sense 6 / Android 4.4.2 my shutter sound is just a short "click" which is easy to miss, is there any way of changing the shutter sound back to a more normal sound? The sound in the Google camera app is much closer to what it was like pre-update.

Usually no. You can root it and change it but not by default I believe.
