Change notification Sounds

Email and texts yes...in the settings of each of those apps....don't use whatsapp so i'm not sure if they have notification sound settings

I wish there was a way to get the same simple notification beeps I had with my Evo 3D. Some of those sounds are horrible.

If you can find the wav or mp3 file online you can load it on phone....

Ok, I'm very new to Android. Just barely traded in my BB 9810 for a Galaxy S4 last Saturday morning... Still trying to figure it all out. I've placed an SD card in, and created a Ringtones directory, put in a bunch of ringtones, and at least for the phone's regular ringtone, it picks them up. But for email notifications, it only shows me the standard pre-loaded ones. Is there a directory on the phone memory itself that I should be placing the ringtones in for email notifications? Seriously, I am still very used to BB's I've never used Android until now.

Create a directory called notifications, just like the ringtones one you already did, and they will be listed for you

You do realize you're in an HTC forum and not in an S4 forum right? I mean it's well and good as we are here to help but was just letting you know just incase you got lost or something. You weren't by chance using Apple maps were you to navigate the AC forums?

Me as well, i'm going to exchange my Blackberry soon to an HTC device, maybe the one or the new one coming after a month

However i'm really addicted to with IMS and social apps like Twitter or Facebook etc.. So i just want to know as nobody has really answered the specific question

Is it possible to change the ringtone for the apps like Whatsapp, BBM, Kik, and make them have a different unique ringtone for each? and it would be sweeter if i can know if its possible to adjust the LED light for each one as well

Hello. I have gone through setting / msg settings to change the sound for notifications. And I have disable/tried to uninstall "hangout" which is the only other texting app on my HTC one . What's my problem?
