Change the actual app icon

You can change the look of every icon but the actual app icon you gotta keep it as a blue box of those four dots and you can't remove it from the darn bottom row.... what the hell G LG I don't get it... is there a workaround this outside changing to a custom launcher....

There is a thread called FYI themes that links over to XDA and gives Optimus themes. I am usung one just so I could change the Apps button.
