Changing Bluetooth Connection Name

Is there a way to change the name of a bluetooth connection?

The reason I ask is because I have two Ford vehicles with Sync. I can pair my phone with one of the vehicles, but when I try to pair with the other vehicle it overwrites the pairing because there is already a connection called "SYNC".

I'd look for an option in the vehicles bluetooth settings to change the device name. Just like on your phone itself, the default name is SCH-I500 but you can rename it to whatever you want.

Yeah i thought of that and can't figure that one out either. I have posted the question on the syncmyride forum to see if anybody over there knows how to do that.

I hate to say this but, on the blackberry i had previously you could easily go in and change the name of the connection. Hopefully there is a way to do this.

It's usually something that's handled by the other device and what name it's broadcasting itself as. For example, I have a wireless printer connected via bluetooth. If I wanted to change it's name I'd have do that in the printer's settings.
