I have an old Samsung Galaxy S10e which is falling apart but is useful as a spare if needed. It is NOT rooted.

As an experiment I have just used the SamFW Tool to change the CSC from the UK XME to the Thailand THL to enable Native Call Recording. As far as I am aware and can see, this does NOT root the phone nor has it tripped Knox.

Can anyone give a definitive answer as to whether changing the CSC of a mobile phone with the SamFW Tool has any effect on the phone in a way that anyone would detect, like for instance, online used phone buyers, like Mazuma or SellCell, because I know that they will not buy phones that have been rooted?

To clarify why I'm asking, I have rooted my own phones for the past 20yrs as a hobby, installed all the custom ROMS you can think of by using Odin and/or Magisk and therefore knowing what I was doing and happy not to be able to sell them later.

However, I would now like to enable the native Call Recording on my current Samsung Galaxy S23 by changing the CSC from EUX to THL of Thailand but would rather not do that if it will prevent me from selling it in the future to an online buyer like Mazuma or SellCell.

Thanks

You could change the CSC in Odin only but might run into OTA software updates not working if the S10 still gets them or security updates, you would have to go back to original
