Hello,

So I'm getting troubles on changing my default browser.. I go to settings > application manager > all

I find my default stock Internet and I try to clear defaults but the button is unable? Like you can't press it, it says that there are no defaults set for it but I've never set my stock browser as default because it's never given me the option

I'm currently using the samsung galaxy note 2

I'm looking to change it to Google Chrome?
I need to clear defaults but it's not allowing me too /:

Anyone can help?

Try clearing the defaults for chrome, if any, and opening an embedded website link inside an email, message, etc. If it gives you a notification box asking which app to open the link with, choose chrome and Click "always use this app" or tick the check-mark next to the same aforementioned phrase. (Differs with device, but it should be the same, considering how Jelly Bean and TouchWiz is set up.)

Try a 3rd party app called ?default app manager" it's what I use when I want to change the default web browser, because I get the same problem as you.

It lets you forget the default app, as well as set a new default. I usually use this app just to forget the default, and then set a new default by opening a link, as some people have said the app doesn't set new defaults very well.

Thanks very much for the replies!
I used the app suggest by AnAndroidDroid and I managed to get all my apps set to whatever I wished as defaults! :D thank you so much!

You need to go to settings->more->application manager->find chrome->select clear defaults. Then you also need to go to settings->more->application manager->find "Internet", which is the internet app that is default to the phone. Then select clear defaults on that app as well. Then next time you open a website from a txt, twitter, or email, etc. it will ask you which you want to be default.

Go to settings more application manager. Then select Chrome or which app is opening.

Only use Internet if it's already selected and you want to change.

You update it from the browser which is currently coming up

I wish to make Google Chrome my default browser in my Samsung Galaxy Tablet.

Ahik

The best way to set a single default engine in an email or other link ...

Settings/more/click the internet browser which you dont want/force stop..

Enjoy work done...

Firstly in the setting \app or software, choose the actually default browser, click on it, delete or uncheck the default browser.

Go outside of the setting, looking for a link for example in your email, click on the link. Android will ask you which browser do you want to open, choose the one you like to be default.

Comeback to setting, choose app or software, click on standard software. On the browser app, choose the one you like.

Is it easy, right
