Trying to find easiest way to do this and cannot find it. It was easy on Galaxy S3 as it appeared on top of status bar and all you had to do is push to change it. Does the HTC One have a similar button/thing? Is there an app or widget I can download to be able to do this? Thanks!

Try power toggles in the app store...

There is a widget which allows you to cycle between Normal, Silent and Vibrate profiles. I have that widget added to one of my home screens.

Default widget for ring profile works well too. I put it one screen to the right so it's pretty quick to get to. Another option I've just started using is getting some nfc tags and setting one on a key chain as a ringer toggle.

Which widget is that?

Elixir widget lets you switch Between those ring modes. I use Tasker to automatically turn off the ringer when I get to work, and turn on once I leave work. You can use Tasker or similar to set up locations or times that you want the ringer on or off

Just press the volume button to bring up the volume bar, and click on the phone icon on the left end of the bar. One click puts it on silent, another puts it on vibrate and another will put it back to the previous volume.

damn, this will probably be one of those things i'll miss from Iphone. a simple physical switch to toggle.

+1 for Power Toggles. I also use Llama for auto switching between profiles.

Long press on the home page, pick widgets, add profile toggle OR swipe the notification bar with 2 fingers and you will see the profile toggle there.

I second the motion to try Widgetsoid. It's the best and easiest toggle app that I've found by far. As the name suggests, it's a configurable widget that you can place on your homescreen. You can place as many setting controls on the widget as you'd like and the widget can also be resized. Give it a try. Oh...and it's free!

Help me! I am using widgetsoide but it also has a battery symbol like the battery symbol of the system. How can I hide/remove the battery symbol of widgetsoide. Thanks1379642_675779009196053_2228525169439640021_n.jpg

If you flip that switch off, then you have to remember to flip it back on. With an app, you can select the silent mode for a given period of time and it will automatically come out of the silent mode.

I like Silent Time, allows one to set a schedule for the phone to be quiet (overnight), allows exceptions to call through certain silent modes (set up with your Google contacts), allows one to set the phone to silent in increments of five minutes, where it will automatically come out of the silent mode.
