Changing the activation time of the lock screen

Do you mean keep the display on the home screen on longer?

It should be in phone settings, and display.

Tap or press Device Menu Button while on your home screen,
Select Phone Settings, then
Select Display,
Select Time Out, and set as you wish.

I am not sure that I succeed to explain myself:

Let's say that I want the screen to turn off after 15 sec, but the lock screen will appear after 5 min. Meaning that if I push some button after 2 min I will get to the last screen I was in and not the lock screen.
Is it possible?

On my other android the phone setting is:

From your home screen press the menu button. It looks like 3 straight lines, usually, on the bottom of your device.

Select Settings

In Settings, select Display

In Display, adjust your settings, either for a longer or shorter time, under "sleep"

So in one of my phones, the last setting to adjust is under "sleep".

In my other android phone, the last setting to adjust is as I posted previously.

To get back to a previous screen before the lock screen comes on,

Press the "recently used apps" button and tap the app you wish to pull back up instantly.

The "recently used apps" button looks like two little squares in a cascade, or one almost covering the other.

As far as I know you cannot choose to have your phone sleep on the screen of an open app. It will show only the lock screen, or be black, while sleeping. You can set your display to not turn the lock screen on at all on some devices, and just leave an app open, but your battery will not last as long.
