Changing themes question

So I have a question about changing themes in my Note 8. I went into settings, wallpapers and themes and picked out one I liked. When I downloaded it and applied it, the background changed but not the icons. Do you need to buy a separate icon pack? I'm running Nova Launcher and I've read not all icon packs work with it.

Samsung themes will only change the icons on the stock launcher.

If your running Nova launcher how bout you just download a icon pack from the okay store there are alot of free nice ones I my self at least switch at least 6 to 7 times a week on icons lol

I use nova... After you download and apply, go into nova and pick the icon or wallpaper, and choose system icons.... Tada!
