No worries... figured that was the case.
Nice idea with the promo, but you can understand my hesitation in purchasing this device right once VZW opens tomorrow given the issues with the Bolt. I don't want to be the guinea pig on this phone, either. This will be a LONG week of waiting!

Agreed. It's the extent of those faults which will dictate whether I purchase or not.
If I can't get it to last more than 4hrs, it's just an expensive paperweight in my pocket for 3/4 of the day. I'm unwilling to turn off 4G and reduce screen brightness to 20% just to limp it along.
If I can't get the GPS to work, that's a no-go for me, too.
I can deal with bloatware and some glitches here and there, but some issues significantly reduce the usefulness of these devices, IMO.

Just got back from my local vz store. It is on sale for 569 full retail. Its the lowest price I have seen for retail that i have seen anywhere.
Of course they will always be the most expensive for on contract price.
Unfortunately, I just found out today that I will have to wait till the 24th to get the phone because of wirefly's @#$% dumb 180 day device discount early termination fee. Its the small print downside to purchasing a phone with wirefly. I got my Fascinate for free so I can't complain too much. Little did I know at the time I would crave a charge 5 1/2 months later.

I got a Best Buy rep to open one up and let me play with it and got 30 minutes with it. Loved it. Very likely my next purchase unless they're just giving away the Merge.
Wasn't that bulky or heavy. And after having examined some of the other options out there, they just felt tiny as opposed to the Charge. It's way bigger than my 12 button clam but thinner and actually felt like it weighs the same.

No remember there is not amazing hype over this phone and also i went to an obscure verizon store on purpose.. But there was 3 of us there when they opened the door
