Charge is having prob with memory card

Hello I searched the forum couldn't find answer. My friend just got the Charge from thunderbolt but it isn't reading her memory card right. It shows the audio files she had in the card but pics an video files can't be found. They are clearly there the memory status hasn't changed but phone can't seem to access. Tried Astro and the phone default file browsers and nothing. Let me know.
