Charge time

I feel like it takes forever for this phone to charge. I feel like most phones charge in about 2 hours but I'm getting roughly 10% charge for every hour. what's everyone else's experience with charging time?

It wouldn't matter if I could charge it at night and have it last all day but I'm usually down to 30% by 1pm after unplugging it at 7 am.

I have a similar experience when I am streaming music. I try not to let mine drain too much at a time.

Complete opposite here. My NS4G charges so quick it makes me doubt the accuracy of the battery meter sometimes.

How is everyone charging your phone. Outlet or USB computer? Outlet will be faster.

I timed it today and here is what I got. Using Ipad's 10w charger with my old palm pre cable I started charging my phone at 11:09am at 32% and it got to 94% (100% in dog time) at 1:55pm

With my phone off, the charge time from 0% to 96% is around 5 hours. It's about the same using a higher-capacity charger. I think my old phone (Hero) with similar battery capacity charged in 3 hours or less.

I haven't timed it or paid really close attention but I don't notice it charges any faster/slower than my EVO.

Mine takes longer than my old Hero, and certainly more than any other phone I've had. But I knew that before I bought it...seemed to be a fact from the reviews I saw. Didn't stop me from buying it, and I certainly can't gripe about it now (use an outlet).
That said, battery life for me has been good. I have a car charger as well which makes it a cake walk, plugged it in tonight at 42% after 15 hours good use. Works for me.
And for the car charger, I can use Navigation while gaining battery power.

Mine takes a long time to charge also. I was spoiled by my pre. If charged crazy fast, but the battery didn't last nearly as long. While at work I have it on charge while listening to podcasts, and it's pretty much a push. After hours of listening while charging the battery % hasn't changed.

I found that if you run it totally dead and then give it a full charge, it charges much faster after the full cycle.

I can plug my Nexus in (outlet) when I go to be and after a nights sleep, it's not quite to 80%. Any ideas or suggestions?

Go to bed earlier :).

I also think it takes awhile to charge...at least compared to the TP2 I upgraded from. I doubt there's too much that can be done other using a charger that supplies at least as much mA as the phone will charge or hack something or other to make it use more then whatever that limit it (~1000 mA for my old TP2, not sure what it is for the ns4g).

I think you have to drain the battery completly a couple of times and after that you should be able to get quicker charge times... When I first got the phone it took a really long time to charge but after draining it completely twice....it seems to charge faster now.

After several full cycles, my full recharge time with the phone off is 4 hours from the wall outlet. I assume it would take longer with the phone on standby.
