Charger makes high frequency noise?

The other day, I heard a strange, really annoying, high frequency noise in my computer room. Like, so high pitched it's almost inaudible, but just audible enough that it goes right through you and makes you crazy.

After searching the room, I finally traced the sound to the wall-wart for my Tab's charger.

Does anyone else experience this? Is it about to fail/overheat/explode/burn my house down?

Ummm... from a common sense perspective I don't think I would use a charger for any device that's making sounds like that...

Get a new charger.

I had a generic iTouch charger that started making that high frequency noise and found that it would not charge the device properly shortly thereafter. As Rudolphe shared, I too would get a new charger.

:-[ well i am using the charger that came with my tablet & it still makes this noise domm de dom,domm de dom,domm de dom....its all you hear, helppppppp its only 7 months old & barely used it.
