On some Samsung phones ive owned in the past I ran into the charging port issue where it thinks its being plugged in and not making contact when being plugged in to charge. I live in San Antonio Tx where its somewhat humid out here, other than that my phones are always away from water.
I know the port can be effected by dust as well but with this new rating of ip68 which basically means the phone itself is sealed off better to be resistance, will the port still be susceptible to this damage?
In the past those repair techs sprint has sometimes labeled the damage as water damaged and screw me over so im trying to avoid hassles with the N7.
With my current N5 I recently got the port error but I managed to scrap off the metal part inside the port and worked like new again plus I have my wireless charger anyways
