Charging cables

I have several charging cables from my s7 edge but they don't seem to work with the s9+. Is this correct or am I doing something wrong?

S7 edge is a micro USB and the s9+ is USB-C. 2 different cables.

Hi there, you can buy charging cable adapters for your S7 cables. You put these on your cables and you will then have the USB-C plug. I got some like these and now I can use all my former cables with no issues.
