Charging issue on Samsung A52s 5G

I'm having an intermittent issue with the charging on my Samsung A52s 5G. At around 70-80% the charging stops and automatically restarts. The connection bleep is heard like when you first connected. I'm ruling out a faulty USB port at this stage as the issue occurs with the phone at rest and totally undisturbed. If I deliberately move the phone around whilst connected in such a way as to disturb the connection I cannot replicate the problem. This would seem to suggest that the USB connection is fine as movement would surely aggravate the issue. I'm guessing maybe a heat or software issue. I've just had an update but the problem persists. Any ideas ?

Is there an option to restrict charging to 80% in the settings? I heard some Samsung's have this built in now.

Are you using original cable and brick?
Do you have any battery apps on the device?

Thanks all but no to all of the above. I'm using the standard as supplied charger and don't have any battery saving apps. The issue only presents itself in fast charging mode so that rules out the USB port and other hardware issues. I've had 5 OS updates since I purchased so it's looking like this is an issue that will roll through my entire contract period without a fix. So I guess I'll disable fast charging and except that this handset doesn't have this feature....another Samsung fail !

You said "no to all of the above," so does this mean it does not happen in Safe Mode? If that's the case, then some app you installed is presumably causing the problem. The tedious part is that you may have to uninstall apps one by one until the problem goes away.

Which charger are you using? I think that model came with a 15w charger in the box but it can accept until 25w. Just in case see if this option is enabled in the battery settings.

If it's not the battery protection Javier mentioned go to settings>device care >diagnostic and test your battery,USB etc there
