Charging Issues: Verizon SG3

This just started last night. I plug in my charger and see a red flashing light and I get a message that tells me it can't charge and to make sure I am using Samsung compatible battery and charger. Been using the same batteries and charger for quite some time.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
 
Welcome to Android Central! The battery might be failing--try a new one. Or try a different charging cable/plug.
 
Your experience may vary, but mine started doing this a few weeks ago. It is much less severe on WiFi. It was so bad last night, I had it plugged in to a stock charger (that came with the phone) for six hours, and I LOST 20% more charge. Got home, got on WiFi, plugged it in, and an hour later it was back to full charge.
