Was wondering if anyone is having problems when charging their Note 5(Verizon)? Everything was working fine, then 2 nights ago, it suddenly started acting weird. I tried 2 different cables, and all it does is make that sound when you connect the cable. Only way to actually charge device is to shut it off... Also this weird popup started at the same time.. Screenshot included...

Power Sharing is the ability of the phone to charge up another device by connecting it via USB cable, and using the Power Sharing app. In your situation, I wonder if there's an issue with the USB cable you're using, or perhaps the phone's microUSB port. Make sure the port is clear of debris; if that doesn't help, then try a different USB cable.

I tried your suggestions. Weird thing is that the Samsung cables work on my wifes phone but not mine. Tried a different cable non samsung, and it works so far. Thanks again!!!

I had this issue. And then no power cables would charge at all or even register that the cable was connected (tried 3 different chargers and cables) and the phone would only charge via wireless charging. And then it started saying dock connected repeatedly. The phone was possessed. I exchanged it under warranty and the new unit is flawless. I'll never know if it was a software bug or hardware failure. Seemed like a hardware failure.

It might have been a problem with the microUSB port. Glad you got it replaced!

Not sure what was happening with my phone. Used the original cables and they work fine now. Also, battery life increased. Currently at 21hrs, have 40% left. Approximately 14 hrs left...

Perhaps there was some crud in the microUSB port that got cleared out in the process of plugging and unplugging your various cables.
