Charging LED vs all other LEDs?

So I just bought two Note 8's. One for me and one for the boss. She won't get to play with hers until next week as I have to mow the lawn and wash cars, etc.

I had to upgrade as my beloved Note 2 shut off Sunday and wouldn't wake back up. It was 'interesting' to go 4.5 days without a phone.

Anywho, I never had an LED when charging and the 8 does. I don't like it...no sir, I don't. I can turn it off but it takes all the other LED notifications with it.

Am I missing something? I just want my phone dark at all times unless the LED tells me I have a text or email.

Seems 'Light Flow' works. I found you can turn off the charging/charged 'notification' light and you don't see them. You still get notifications for your other apps so that's nice.
