Charging light doesnt turn green?

How long does it take after the About phone > battery status > battery level is at full bars should my amber charging light turn green? I have had 100% power according to that for about an hour while on the wall charger and I still have an amber light. Any ideas? I am doubting this is normal. Battery seems to be fine, phone works fine but it will drive me nuts if I never know when its charged.

I can't remember but i think the amber light just goes out. If you have no light in the speaker when charging you are 100% charged.

From what I read it is suppose to turn green. All I know is my amber light has been on for 1+ hour after it shows fully charged :/

My Nexus used to turn green at 90% on up

The Thunderbolt does not turn green until it is fully charged

turns green just not sure when pulled when said 100 the first time then when plugged in overnight was green when got up
