charging notification sounds won't turn off

The recent update has left me less than impressed with the new UI but what is really beginning to make the phone unusable is the charging notification.

If I mute notification and system sounds it turns them back up to max with the next notification and I'm getting them probably half a dozen times an hour. These are just charging notifications as I've managed to turn off the actual notifications - ie the ones I want but I can't stand the constant loud beeping.

I've tried going into the system ui to turn them off and it still won't stop it - turning off the charging notification anywhere else won't stop it either.

what really, really F***s me off is that every time I turn the notifications or system volume down the next time it needs to scream at me it turns it back up to max to do it.

Any idea how to fix this (short of buying a new, non-samsung phone?)

I had forgotten about trying safe mode and it's silent (I might just leave it in safe mode, the peace is lovely).

I had found two system ui apps and couldn't uninstall either, apart from that I have no idea what app is triggering it. I suppose there's no easy way to ID it apart from turning each off?

that app can't identify what resets the notifications or system sounds to max and unfortunately it doesn't list what triggers sounds.

I found what's doing it though. It's an IFTTT service that unmutes my phone when I return home. By the look of it the max charge is somehow triggering that service. An easy fix.

Thank you for your help. I do appreciate it
