Charging oprions

I have a VZW S6E, since release day I have been using the Samsung wireless charging pad at night and the supplied charger during the day when needed. Since the beginning the wireless charger would stop in the middle of the night once the phone is charged 100% no big deal since it would only drain about 3 to 5% after it shuts off. The differences in charging times foe me were wireless about 2 mins per percent and about 1.2 per percent for the supplied charger. A week or so ago the wireless charger kept beeping like the phone was being removed and replaced. Since then the charge time has diminished to about 4 mins per percent and it does not shut off when its 100% charged anymore. I would like to know if my wireless charger is faulty and am i supposed to unplug it when not in use?
