Charging Status?

So apparently my new Tab doesn't have a Charging led light. Is there any kind of third part app that will somehow show me that it is charging?

does the battery indicator in the norification panel not show that it is charging? it should have a lightning bolt shape inside

I meant when the screen is black.

All i can think of is the bedside nightclock app. It shows time, date and battery level. Idk id this is similar to what u want tho.
