I charge my TB at work with my pc. Everytime i plug it in i get all the pop ups for software, takes me to verzons website for music. How can i disable this annoyance. i always pick charge only.

that's weird, i only get that crap if i choose to install the software that pops up when it's plugged in. You should be able to cancel it and there's a checkbox that will "do this every time" or something of the sort

If you've already installed the software from the "Install Drivers" action on the "CD Drive (E: ) Verizon Mobile", then I imagine you need to uninstall the software.

However, if it's the "AutoPlay" dialog for "CD Drive (E: ) Verizon Mobile" you want to get rid of, along with the presence of that drive in Explorer, this can be easily done with the device properties of that drive.

1) Connect the phone to the computer and close any AutoPlay popup.
2) In Explorer, right click on "CD Drive (E: ) Verizon Mobile" and click on the Properties menu item.
3) Go to the Hardware tab and you will see two entries for "HTC Android Phone USB Device". Select the one with a type of "DVD/CD-ROM Drives" and click the Properties button on the bottom of the dialog.
4) Verify on the General tab of the properties dialog that appears that the DeviceType is "DVD/CD-ROM Drives"
5) Switch to the "Driver" tab.
6) Click the "Disable" button.

The "CD Drive (E: ) Verizon Mobile" drive (and associated AutoPlay) dialog will no longer appear on your computer. As far as your computer is concerned, that drive will no longer exist. (Unless you re-enable it)

The USB drive that accesses your SD card will still be there. Just the annoying verizon CD drive will be gone.

I tried that way but came up with an issue;

Mine only indicates CD-ROM not DVD/CDROM.

I get all the way to the end but all that is highlighted is Driver Details, the grayed out ones are:
update driver, rolll back driver, uninstall.

the other issue is if you are plugging in to usb to charge you might not be getting enough power to charge quickly...

It will charge at about half the rate of the stock charger. The charge current on mine is ~450 mA when connected to USB and ~850 mA when connected to the 1A charger that came with the phone.

If you aren't logged in with Administrator privileges, you'll need to elevate by clicking the "Change Settings" button with the little User Access Control shield next to it. Clicking that will bring up the same box again, but this time it will be running with admin, so you can make system changes.

Tried that too, even went in Administrator account from the beginning and still no banana.
Maybe because I am using W-XP?
