Chat settings notification

Hi everyone,

I have a notification on my chat settings but every time I go in it says there was a problem connecting try again later. I'll try to post a pic

It's been a few weeks now any one what this could be?

That's for I believe read receipts.
Try long press the message app and tap info , scroll to storage and clear ,data, cache , force stop

Anyone know what this can be? I tried clearing and force stop, I don't want to factory reset just for this

I explained it's for read receipts
Maybe it not available on your carrier

Chat settings uses RCS. You need to make sure that your carrier has RCS enabled. I wouldn't worry about using it ever. Unless the person you are messaging is using the same exact messaging app on the same exact carrier it won't work anyway. For example my brother and I both have sprint he uses Samsung messages I use Android messager on my pixel. Both of which can use RCS. RCS doesn't work, if I use a Samsung with their native app it works. Or if he switched to Android messager it works as well.
