sounds like an issue with channel settings on your wireless router.
go into your wireless router and change the channel settings to a number that you feel normally no one would ever use. Standard b/g uses up to 11 with dual band wireless goes up to the twenties.
Cause is that all wireless router is set to automatic. So if you live in an area that a lot of people is using wireless router, your device is having a hard time connecting to your router as your router and neighbor's router are currently on the same channel.
I do this all the time to fix this same issue on my laptop/PS3
