Should be an interesting season coming up. Many teams out to prove themselves that came up a little short. Plus the return of a full schedule including east/west conferences playing against each other in the regular season.
Naturally everyone is going to be gunning to knock the Hawks off the mountain too. Should be a great year!

Ya we are all a bit nervous here. The Hawks did what Vancouver should have done after winning the President's cup. The officiating is so bad at times that I was really hoping that Boston wouldn't pull the same crap they did with us and get away with it. I loved how the last game went. You stuck it to them and justice prevailed.

Yeah, Boston was a tough team. But I think this year at least in the playoffs it came down to scare tactics with the goalies. There was this impression that nobody could penetrate the net. It worked in every series for a couple games with the Hawks. But after the Hawks got shut out and slammed a few games and they realized if they push the net they could score it was over. Detroit fell, L.A. and eventually Boston.
Boston's killer was their injuries. They came into the finals beat up and we added more damage and it was the nail in the coffin for them.
I agree officiating at times was just garbage. Boston or better yet the stadium should of been fined for providing bad ice for the finals. Seemed funny how Chicago had almost identical weather conditions during the finals yet we gave great ice at the United Center. Boston had freaking swimming pools on the blue lines in game 6.
