I have about $1,500 to play with for smartphones and tablets. I'm thinking the following:
Nexus 4
Nexus 7 (2nd-gen)
HTC One
Moto X

I'd wait for the next Nexus phone instead of the Nexus 4, except I very much like the Nexus 4 and I also have two would-be useless Wireless Charging Orbs floating around. I also plan to throw a Nexus 10 in that list as soon as I can make the finances work out. As we all know, these things aren't exactly cheap..
Probably will pick up the next Nexus phone or a Motorola X. I also need to get a new notebook, but I won't be going as high-end as you.

A friend of mine has the new XPS 13 with the 1080p display and absolutely loves it. I've used it and liked it just as much.
I have talked to my dad and he siad I will get upgraded in two years, so I am patiently waiting for the RMBP refresh.
Well, I'll most likely be getting this laptop soon?

Its not awful..
Its a good OS Chetan, even if you like OS X better: There both good, and you really can`t go wrong with either of them.
Both have high points, both have low points. We all have our own opinions however.
Anyway, I'm looking of trying (Virtualbox, VM) Ubuntu or Linux Mint: If I like it and if Wine works decently (don't care about games), I may switch. Or most likely dual-boot.
That would be nice, but I need windows as there are some apps I will use that are Windows-only.
