Re: [Chatter] Galaxy Nexus Crackflashers/News/Discussion

DroidHive has be acting weird since server of it went down Sunday AM.

If you ignore the error about not being able to post using tapatalk ,and just back out and discard your message it will post.;)
Or you can keep hitting submit and have a bunch of back to back post.:D

I did the latter. My post count has yet to update, yet I've posted at least 10 times in the past 2 hours. Ugh.

Also, my damn undo zip for Rubik R2 wouldn't work. Tried to make another zip through zip themer, same deal. Had to make one using R3. :/

Re: [Chatter] Galaxy Nexus Crackflashers/News/Discussion

what is up with Gaps? why do you have to install it separately on some roms, but others have it baked in?

some roms already have them included in the zip flash. Others don't. Its just what the developer tosses into the zip mix. If they aren't included. You have to flash them after the rom flash. If you don't...you won't be able to sign into your Gmail account to sync or use Google talk.

Just be sure to read the op. If it's unclear, check xda or rootzwiki

For legal reasons they can't be baked in, to circumvent the law they are offered as a separate flash and that's fine. Some rom devs who either make smaller/lesser known roms get away with baking them in.. If google cared much they would send them a cease and desist notice before actually making a fuss about it, lol.

Why is it legal to give it out as a separate package, but not in the ROM? To a lay person like me, the end result is the same.

So back to some ROM talk. AOKP build 31 with LeanKernel 3.1.0 has been running great for me. Have not encountered any bugs yet and running nice and smooth.
