So back to some ROM talk. AOKP build 31 with LeanKernel 3.1.0 has been running great for me. Have not encountered any bugs yet and running nice and smooth.

Battery life is markedly improved since the move to a 4.0.4 base. On 3G, I have idle drain of about 3-3.5% per hour. That's with three Gmail accounts synching, one Yahoo account synching through the Yahoo mail app, two Gtalk accounts synching, Weatherbug widget updating hourly, and texts through the Google Voice app. On wifi, idle drain is about 1% per hour. When I'm using the phone heavily, I usually get about 4 hours of screen on time using wifi. This is with the Samsung extended battery. LeanKernel is my kernel of choice.

Edit: So I've been at my local watering hole since leaving work and battery at 63% with 1 hour 56 min screen on time. Connected through wifi.

Just got back from the mets game. 4-0 !!!! and the mets look like they might go somehwere this year! but its only 4/162 games so ...

Yeah zero, you missed a lot today. Mostly though me and dmm went on a crusade in the general section to try and convert nonflashers into rooters lol. Thought I would encounter some flames, but they were pretty cool. ;-)

Well played. You guys are slowly turning noobs to the darkside. (i say noobs with mostly kindness in my heart jk. entirely with kindness).

Actually, that's the best reason AC is my favorite forum: how helpful everyone is over here. This is the place where i learned how to root my droid incredible, and from there it kinda snowballed obviously but it's nice to give back and help others out.

Since i came from an art-lit background, alhtough familiar with cpus, the language of all this and the procedures were initiallly alot to learn.


Anyway - glad to have you all here with the gnex and kicking it oldschool and monkeyflipping trolls like it's your day job.

btw i havnet slept in two days so i may not be making like hardly any sense.

But everything you do is appreciated.

I don't know what keyboard you guys are using but I am a swiftkey person and I just got ahold of swiftkey3 beta. I think it is superior to swiftkeyX.
If you guys are on it already then chalk this up as old news.
If you use another keyboard...disregard.
Coulda made a thread but I'm not sure if this is supposed to be distributed or what and I honestly forgot where I got it from.
