I agree, I've left it on ondemand since that's what was default, I'm not too picky. Franco's are usually equally great with conservative, from my experience. I'm not someone who tries to squeeze out extra seconds from my battery, lol. Just have a charger and move on.

Re: [Chatter] Galaxy Nexus CRACKFLASHERS | SECRET LAIR ;-)

word. that and wifi is where it's at. i dont bother to bring an extra battery around, but i keep usb with me and have a car charger for when i need it.

Looks like we can expect AOKP milestone 5 sometime today. And I just wiped and flashed build 34 yesterday. ;) Such is the life of a crackflasher . . .

Exactly! I have one charging cord, the one that came with the phone. If I think I may need it, I bring the charger wherever, I have a car USB charger I bought for like $2 from I think monoprice.com, and I bring my laptop to work a lot so I can bring the cord there and charge if I want. So battery life not really a big concern to me, lol :)

And hey zero, so much for taking a break from the forums eh buddy?? :P

Haha yeah procrastinating... I'm insanely lazy...

Wake up, watch TV, read sports news, hit the forums, eat something... 5 pm, think about studying... I'm the worst :)

There is no think. Do or do not! (In my best Yoda voice.) :p

Oh I'm with ya... I've got a doctorate in procrastination you don't need to explain the art to me, haha :)

Re: [Chatter] Galaxy Nexus CRACKFLASHERS | SECRET LAIR ;-)

Going to wait until it's up on the AOKP site. Don't want to take the chance of downloading an incomplete build. :) In the meantime, will backup and prep for flashing m5.

Edit: milestone 5 is now available through the AOKP site at the link below. Downloading now.

Milestone 5 - Releases - Releases - News

In the meantime, here's the changelog showing what changed between build 34 and milestone 5.

Re: [Chatter] Galaxy Nexus CRACKFLASHERS | SECRET LAIR ;-)

Meh.. based on the changelog the differences from b34 are majority bug fixes for bugs I'm not experiencing at all, lol. No need to flash for me. Plus I have my ish set up real nice with the blacked out framework-res.apk from the Black ICE theme on rootz and 2-3 select black gapps, I don't like most of them being blacked out but I like the Mms and Contacts one I've got now, don't feel like having to push them again. I'm comfy :)

With your endorsement of franco's milestone 3, I loaded it up. So far so good. What governor you using/recommend?

I usually run either ondemand or interactive...usually interactive.

By the way, getting ready to install AOKP M5! Hopefully, franko kernel works well with it.

i have no idea if this is actually the correct gapps, but its the latest: dont blame me if it's not the one you're meant to use :)

I'm going to flash the 3-17 Gapps package. From reports on the RW thread, a change to the filename of one of the Google Apps is what breaks Play Store restore and restoring wifi networks, Gmail setting and so on. The solution is to flash the 3-17 Gapps and set everything up. After that you can go ahead and update through the Market or flash the 4-22 Gapps in recovery after wiping Dalvik cache.

And yes, I'm using my ThunderBolt while backing up my Galaxy Nexus and getting it ready to flash AOKP m5.

I thought about it but since I knew I'd be flashing stuff all the time on my Galaxy Nexus I kept my Tbolt as a backup. Comes in handy at times like this since I can pop my SIM card in my TBolt while my Galaxy Nexus is otherwise occupied. :D

i thought about keeping it as a backup but the off contract price of the nexus ... had to get some of that back since i live off of student loans these days.

i did like the tbolt - except for the bulk. it was dragging down my basketball shorts in the summer, it was so heavy.

The TBolt is quite a beast, especially with the extended battery. I was planning on using that thing for at least a year, but when the Galaxy Nexus launched I had to make the switch.

Have everything set up with AOKP m5 and running fine so far. A couple of the bug fixes are especially welcome. I toggle auto-brightness on and off through the day and having the brightness slider jump when toggling was a bit annoying. Also like having the flash-off indicator in the camera viewfinder.

Just got through my first charge using LiquidSmooth v1.35 with default kernel (Franco M3) using hotplug governor and some UV (384MHz min / 1036 MHz max) using stock 1850 mAh battery.

Hit 5 hours of screen on time! Think I'll be sticking with this configuration for a while.
