[Chatter] "Where everybody knows your name ..."

AOKP b28 with LK stable 2.6.0 has been running great for me. Didn't even wipe data coming from milestone 4.

I saw that some folks were having issues but since I'm just a nandroid restore away from m4, I figured that I'd give it a whirl.

Re: [Chatter] Galaxy Nexus Crackflashers/News/Discussion

Actually lk is available straight thru Franco's app now, not sure how come. I downloaded the latest lean but flashed a dt patient zero build to see if the speed difference was real or imaginary.

It was really imaginary, zero neck. :D:)

Re: [Chatter] Galaxy Nexus Crackflashers/News/Discussion

After recent trials with various kernels like lean kernel, franco, trinity, glados, popcorn etc, I wasn't impressed at all with any of them. I'm talking battery life here as I really can't tell any performance differences. They all run fine.

I decided to go back to one of my favorites:
HeyItsLou Defiant v4 "La Villa Strangiato" *UPDATE* Feb 22nd 9:15pm EST - RootzWiki
This kernel is very basic with not a whole bunch of governors and has no undervolting options at all. It hasn't been updated since Feb 22, so it might put people off.
I'm of the mind where if it ain't broke don't fix it mentality, so the frequent updates of other kernels concerns me.

I'm not a super analytical battery use freak and I seldom look at the battery graph in settings, I just go by seat of the pants "feel". This kernel, in my mind has marked improvement in battery over any of the others. Besides who doesn't want to run a kernel named La Villa Strangiato.

Jus my opinion and sharing what I see. Maybe some of you would load it for a couple of days to confirm or deny my experience.

Re: [Chatter] Galaxy Nexus Crackflashers/News/Discussion

I've been using trinity the last few days. It works fine. Was mainly on franco's before that, it was fine as well but the popping sound started to drive me nuts.

Next up is lk and lou's, as per your suggestions.

@droid_evo 8 - that's how my life goes ... is it real or am i really dreaming?

Recommendations for a favorite theme for Galaxy Nexus. I do like simplicity as well. Thanks in advance for your feedback.

I like ghost theme, formerly unblacked out, because its drastically different from all the black based themes...

Also like the black exodus except for the changed status bar icons (like the stock look better).

Black and ics is nice also, bc its basically stock but what was white or gray is generally blacked out with ics blue text.

Not big on red or colored themes personally, bc they don't have much staying power over me.

And I'm back. Sorry for the absence, gents.

What'd I miss?

Its been pretty quiet. V15 should be out soon. Aokp should be up to 29 any day now. Mostly kernel talk, Droid evo posted up an awesome pic of trinity from the matrix, maybe the worst love interest in a movie ever haha, and that scene where he pumps her heart ... my god. Awful.

You know, the usual.

Re: [Chatter] Galaxy Nexus Crackflashers/News/Discussion

lol! I see franco's app has leankernel/imo on it as well? WTF?

Also, flashed the latest CM9. The boot animation is sick. Features are trickling through, and it's extremely stable and fast.

v15 will be delayed due to someone dying DroidHive has be shutdown today for rememberence of her.My thoughts and prayers are with that family .

Imoseyon and Franco have been working together so they have both made the other kernel available for download through their updaters. LK doesn't have an app, but has an update script that you run in the terminal. There's now an option to download and flash Franco's latest kernel.

RIP to the DroidHive person/member/family member.

And very interesting. Franco's app is hilarious, it has some snarky comment if you install the FK and go look under the IMO page in the app. Go see it lol

Re: [Chatter] Galaxy Nexus Crackflashers/News/Discussion

Sorry to hear about the DH person passing.

Haven't done much to the phone since friday ? Time for a kernel change.
Today Imo's and tomorrow lous defiant?
or vice versa

Re: [Chatter] Galaxy Nexus Crackflashers/News/Discussion

Oh wow, that's very tempting indeed.

Yeah on my fascinate way back we used to have lots of cool locks...rotary, and lots of different sliders.
We have kinda been stuck on the ring lock thing.

I wonder if that is the paid jrummy toolbox....would be cool if it was.
