I lolled. I can't complain though. This site is pretty excellent, so I can tolerate a few bugs while they get worked out.

Nah, you still pull data. It just routes it a different way. Though, tbqh I'm not entirely sure how hughesnet monitors traffic. I use a VPN all the time (great for getting around firewalls at work or browsing NSFW content risk-free) and it doesn't change data consumption.
