Well looks like T-Mobile is advertising the N4 after all?

Hey everyone. I finally managed to get stepdaughter's tablet going. It was quite the challenge getting past the boot loop, but after that it was not too bad.

Conquering the boot loop required building my own USB to USB (male to male) cable, downloading some software, and pressing and releasing the power and back buttons in the right sequence with pretty exact timing. And yes both the power and back buttons are physical buttons.

I tried a honeycomb ROM but it was kinda laggy. Once I reverted back to stock (2.2 skinned) it was pretty nice

Lost all the apps and data but considering I thought it was a lost cause from the start, I'm pretty happy I got it going


So that was a good chunk of my day. But she's happy and that's important. Hows everyone doing tonight?

I'll either grab one from the studio downtown that I share with some other developers/designers, or buy a new one. Probably the latter.

Either way it'll take me about a week, meaning all of my Android-related development has been slowed significantly as a result.
