I will be heading to the US in a few weeks on a business trip and want to get a US SIM for my GS5.
A year or so ago, I took advantage of a free unlock day from SAMMOBILE and everything seemed to go well.
I have a non-activated SIM here from another carrier (Public Mobile - I'm on Bell) and when I put it in my phone, there are NO errors thrown about network codes, etc... It just shows "no service".
Now - does this mean that I'm good to go? I don't have access to any other SIM cards (active on another network).
The "no service", to me, is a good thing. It recognizes the SIM but just can't connect because it's not active.
Am I correct in my thinking?
