Check out the HTC 10 at Verizon store on Friday!! Anyone?

Checked it out today at my local Verizon store. I like it, it feels fast in the way that only nexus phones feel, is built solidly, and is the perfect size. I still think it's too expensive though and it's a shame that it isn't waterproof like the S7. Gonna wait for the new Nexus, or a good deal on an S7 or a 10, whichever comes first. Until then, I'll muddle through with my 6P that's a bit too big.

Posted via my Nexus 6P on VerLIEzon Wireless but without their shackles.

For reference....screen brightness seems fine in person to me!

(HTC 10, Sony Z5, Nexus 6p all at full brightness)

Yea I cranked up the brightness and it looked pretty good. Don't know what the issue is about.

Anyone want to buy a S7?

HTC 10 is $550 for 32gb. + $20 activation fee.
The Nexus 6P is $499 for the 32gb (sale for $449).

Don't see the pricing issue. You get expandable storage, OIS, faster processor, better display. Worse World Phone usage but still.

It's s decent amount of bloat. This is why I was hoping to buy it unlocked to work on Verizon.

+1000 I wish HTC would have done what Moto did with Pure Edition last year and allow you to buy Verizon version direct from HTC without bloat. The Amazon stuff doesn't bother me too much as I use some of it, but the Verizon apps are pure garbage.

EDIT - Just realized, HTC lets you order Verizon variant direct from their site. If this comes without the Verizon bloat, count me in!

Yes got a tracking number. Just check your my Verizon app or check your orders on the website. They did not email me yet buy they usually do in the evening when ups scans it.

If I preorder today/tomorrow, would it even be worth it anymore? I could prob go to vzw Thursday and come home with it (albeit without $100 discount..) so is the preorder worth it? And when would it ship?

Trade in an old device and younger 300 off plus another 100. Makes me think of trading in my turbo.

its not guaranteed that they will have it in stores by thursday. if you preorder it you'll probably get it sooner. they set a certain amount aside before they're available in stores. at least thats what i was told. and idk when it would ship i don't work for verizon but u can call corporate and ask. that's probably your best bet to find answers not here lol

I don't get all the issues with Verizon "bloatware". It takes like a minute to go in and disable whatever you don't use. Then you never see it again.

What? Isn't the 10 priced at $699, or $599 with either the HTC coupon code or Verizon's pre-order promo? EDIT: Never mind, I see it's $550 on Verizon now. I could go for that price even with the activation fee, but not sure if it's worth it for a Verizon version (ugh) with all its bloatware and slow updates...

It's still a Verizon version, so I highly doubt it will come without the bloat. The "less pre-loaded software" part of the description on the HTC site seems like it still only applies to the unlocked version judging from the wording. I could be wrong though. Still, it isn't a big deal, since you can disable bloatware and with an SD slot and adoptable storage, the memory they take up isn't an issue either.

If anyone buys the Verizon version from the HTC website, can you verify if it comes with the bloatware or not?

I did and I will but I suspect its the same image delivered in stores or from Verizon website. I also don't expect my phone until next week which is good because I have way to much work stuff to be doing! :-)

Do they have those HTC hi res earphones available to buy at Verizon and if so.. How much?

sent turbo fast
