Check out this iPhone users review of the Evo, it's brutal!

I love the fact this dude tries to compare this to an iphone that hasn't even been officially announced yet. Iphone users should get off their high horse and realize the iphone is nothing more than a super feature phone but hey what do I know maybe after 4 generations they'll get some basic features that most phones have had for the better part of a decade ie flash for camera and the ability to multi task. I'm not an iphone hater just the opposite rather I love my ipod touch I just hate how iphone users think the iphone is IT and no other phone compares.

you can tell this guy and tech crunch are full of apple **** since every other review in the world said this phone is awesome and one of the best phones ever made, period.

The funniest thing tho on his parislemon personal blog - he has two articles talking about the EVO features that blow away the piss-poor apple/AT&T comparable function. There's one about the WiFI Hotspot which he loves and other is about a trip he's taking to NY and actually says the following:

I?m heading to New York City tomorrow for a week, all I can say is thank god Google gave everyone at I/O a Sprint EVO 4G yesterday. I?ll actually have a phone that works in NY.

And then in other sections he proceeds to bitch about AT&T's ETF and new iPhone Insurance fees.. lol this dude is a Closet EVO lover and he knows it.

The lag with Sense turned on is an interesting point that I keep hearing repeatedly. There is no lag whatsoever on the Incredible, but we also don't have the stock Android launcher available to us. Honestly after having had both the Motorola Droid & Incredible, I can't imagine having an Android phone without Sense. It makes the whole user experience much more user friendly IMHO. It's too bad that it's affecting performance on the EVO.

I think we all need to add these comments in the comments section of that article. That is the only way to counter what he said. Most that read that will not see these to know any better. i:(i

The only things I see the new iPhone 4GS/HD having over the evo are

960x640 screen resolution (confirmed by engadget when they put it under a microscope, but the slightly smaller reported 3.4 screen really kills the purpouse) those pages and pages of bland icons should look really nice lol /sarcasm **live wallpapers ftw**

The superior gpu that makes gaming a real pleasure, snapdragon is really struggling to render iphone ported games smoothly by gameloft where droid users are not... weak gpu or lack of optimization since it was made for omap, but bummer still...

Other than that, this steve jobs blowfest is a complete joke, they just need something to keep their denial strong enough to not jump ship and stay in jobs barbed wire fenced ecosystem...

i have still not seen an answer to my question. has anyone used an EVO been able to pull down the notification bar with your thumb (one handed)? i can BARELY reach it on my nexus, so i wonder if its even possible on the larger screen of the EVO.

you might not think this is a big deal, but the noitification bar is the center of android, i find my self constantly pulling it down with one hand using my thumb. is this even possible onthe evo? just a thought.

Why do you need to pull down notification bar with your thumb?

LOL!....those jackasses screen comments.

I will never ever read techcrunch again. What a bunch of idiots.

If i was an editor/in charge at techcrunch I would fire that fool on the spot.

told the guy off and he didn't post my comment lol

Fan boy!!!!! youu can tell he is when he puts a picture of his ipad in the photo at the bottom. This guy is and idiot in so many ways!

After reading his review I questioned if I really wanted to buy the EVO 4g myself. But thanks to the forum, i'm back on board in making a purchase upon release.

I'm just curious about the battery life comment - has anyone even had the EVO in hand long enough to condition the battery? Including this bozo? With ALL of my devices, it takes a couple of weeks to get the battery to where it's supposed to be - this phone hasn't even been in people's hands that long.........so how can he make any battery claims?

Man I had a hard time reading that!

An iPhone Lover?s Take On The HTC EVO 4G

Would love to have some opinions from the guys that already have an Evo.
I have nothing wrong with someone being gay. But was it just me, or did the reviewer seem to be watching LOGO while he did the review? Also, he said he was not techy. Which is a problem when you review tech. If all you know is the iPhone, don't review other phones, you will hate them all. Also, the few things he said he liked, he said would be on the next version of the iPhone.

it look more like comparing a mac to a pc. the mac runs smooth and gives you all that they think you are going to need, simple easy and sometime just lame, mac does have a place in this world and the os is only on the mac. the pc can be slow, doesnt come with much out the box for what you really want to do, but with out hacking it(jailbreak) you can make it the way you want it, and do what you want, and just like a pc if you do hack it (root) then you can take over the world with it(pc still have the biggest market share in the world). and the android os is on different phones from different makers. the evo just seem to be the top dog right now. his whole thing starts out as "iphone killer" that means her was going to look for ways that the iphone is better then the evo. his personal chose to that but in the end its the cell phone users that will make the evo the iphone killer.

One large question that comes out of this article is "Should review be neutral"? I mean, he obviously loves the Iphone and even states so in the title. So should a person who is truly interested in the Evo take his review seriously when he has an obvious bias? He makes some good points but then fails to mention some of the positive aspects of the phone. If he was a truly neutral reviewer then he would have outlined the positives and the negatives of the phone. He always seemed to be saying something in the Evo is good but then the Iphone does it better. He is always comparing it to the Iphone and usually the Iphone is winning.

So the question remains, should reviews such as this be biased?

Biased is fine, but at least be educated. This guy seems to have no idea how to run an efficient Android setup, which anyone who reads for a good half hour or 45 minutes online can learn. Ignorance is no excuse for difficulties.
