Chinese Ebay batteries...Huge thumbs up

Just got mine today gonna charge the Chinese Batteries first then put the HTC Battery in it tonight and see how it goes tomorrow with a full day of work then go to the gym and use it like normal during this time.

Woohoo...i got mine today. 8 business days since i ordered :D.
Cant wait to see how they are. Even if they arent great at least i am happy knowing i have emergency backup. Yay!!!

So i fully charged my new battery on the external charger, put in my evo....and its at 98% and going down fast :(
Oh well.....figures i would be the one to have bad luck with this. At least i still have a back up.....but i am bummed :(
Did the rest of you get a 100% reading when you first put it in????

Both of the extra batteries went to 100% on the first charge for me. They work great. No problem with anything from that kit so far.

Both spare batteries were at 100% after being charged. The stock battery was at 100% after charging overnight in the charger. Good deal.

Well at least i am getting a stronger 100% charge from my htc battery after charging externally. I will recharge the generic and try again...hopefully it will do better. Havent even opened the 2nd one up yet.

Well poop.....after the second time fully charging it i only got a 97%. Guess i got a lemon :(

you have to make sure you charge the batteries till the light is fully blue.. it takes a while. it turns like purplish blue after some time and if you press against the battery it'll get more blue.. just let it be till it turns deep blue, i usually do mine over night.

i got 20+ hours off the chineese battery the other day.

I got my batteries 2 days ago and I charged them up and have used just one so far. Put the battery in at 11 pm on Saturday did not plug phone in over night and lost 12% by 8am yesterday and with light use I am down to 27% so that is about 42hours on just one charge. My finding are a bit skewed since I had to tether for about 20 minutes and went from 78% to 82% yesterday afternoon but even then I went from 82% to 27% in 27hours. Not back I would say. Going to fully charge the OEM battery and see what happens with that. So far best 10 bucks I ever spent on a phone!

I got my batteries two days ago, both are working well over an overnight charge. I know its early but this was cheaper and in someways better than getting the 3500 seido battery so far.

Just adding my experience. I decided to go ahead and get these $10 batteries with wall charger based on this thread and detailed experience. I had written them off long before.

I received them within one week and have used both and have so far (about a week now) had a great experience with them. It is really great to have an extra one or two on hand in my purse and not have worries about power as I had to deal with on a recent road trip and extensive use of pictures, bright screen in sun, GPS, and info search about local areas, and then not having power when I needed it after only 4 hours or so.

This is one of the best investments I've made for the phone so far.

FYI, I followed the link provided originally in this thread to make sure I used the same ones. They are 1500 mah which is equal to the OEM battery. One lasted me as long as the original. I've had no temp issues different from the original. They are a tad longer making a slightly tighter fit in the phone. They are very lightweight making them easy for a purse or wallet. Note: they came in small plastic sleeves which I kept and put the extra one in in my purse so that the contacts do not get dirty. Even the small bag the charger was wrapped in while in the small box works great for that. The OEM battery (awesome red one) fits the wall charger also. They have a sticker label on them labeling them for the HD2 and Evo.
I fully charged both and discharged before th regular use. They charged after about 4 hours, but I left them about 7 to 8 just to "feel good about them."

I hope this helps anyone else. So far, I'm REALLY glad I bought these!

Mini-update: 8/9/10
FYI...Using one of the battery replacements charged in the phone.
22 hrs later...battery at 32% mostly on standby using just a little and on lowest brightness when doing so (mail check, facebook, some app downloading and testing).
Wifi has been on. I have to wonder if the 2.2 update manages the mobile data antenna use or power when wifi is on now.
I was finally able to try the "battery boost" charge before tracking this. This is where someone described (earlier in the thread) unplugging after overnight charge to 100 and letting drain a little (I went to about 92) which happens very quickly. Then plugging back in and charging until it hits 100 which takes longer than you'd think. Then unplugging right after.
Note: this battery had gotten down to about 14% before being plugged in this last time and then stayed plugged invfor a long time. However, what was interesting is that it only took about 1.5 hours to hit 100% which I've not paid attention to so far.

This is for those who, like me, worry about power loss on standby but have to leave the phone on.
END UPDATE.

how is this battery better than the 3500 seido?

Why better than 3500 Seido....

how is this battery better than the 3500 seido?

1) Price (NOTE: this is 2 batteries and not just one)
2) SIZE
- phone stays thin and lower weight
- extended leads to a need for the extended cover
- extended cover leads to not fitting "traditional" cases and some other accessories
- these points are, of course, based on preference in the end
3) IF you need it, this leaves you with 3 total, 1500mah batteries (orig plus the two purchased) for a day which can be easy to carry depending on your situation (purse for me)

Hope these points help..

Just wanna say I agree with your entire post. I have the same batteries as you and love being able to have the extras in my purse...great deal!
:D

Have been using both my batteries for a week now and getting good results. It's nice to be able to have a spare in case you can't get your EVO to charge, like on a golf course or at a convention, etc.

$10 for two batteries is a bargain.

Does anyone have another source for an external charger. The batteries are fine but the charger takes a very long time to charge. Almost 6-7hrs to charge. I was able to charge two batteries with the phone before the external charger finished one

Thank you in advance
