But the height of the notification bar is the same on each RELATIVE to the height of their respective notches. So I'd imagine there is something in software that says "if the notch is X amount tall, make notification bar X amount tall". Because I figure they'd have to address the notch in software for each specific device so the display doesn't try to show relevant info in that area. So tying the height of the notification bar to the height of the not just makes sense.

Yes , but the pix has bigger notch and notification area compared to 1+6

I agree , but dont think that 1+6 is any slouch it can in some situations take really good pictures like the rest of big phones just not constantly

I heard that someone took a picture of the scoreboard at the Sox/Yankees with a 1+6 and it so bad it looked like the Sox won

That's what I said, that the notification bars size are relative to the size of the notch. The Pixel 3s is larger than the OnePlus 6's because it has a bigger notch.

So what I guess I'm not seeing is what do you want to do? Make your notification bar larger? Like have it wrapped around the notch so that it's both below and on the sides of the notch? Otherwise it looks like in both cases they're acting the same, the space from the bottom edge of the notch to each corner is filled with the notification bar.

Oh my bad , just the ones I circled get that white look without it going black all way the across.

So you don't want it camouflaged like the One plus does, but want it white fulltime instead? I think that has to do with the website being viewed. Like for instance, right now I'm seeing my notification bar as white on the AC forums. On Android Central's main site it's green, on DroidLife's it's magenta, etc.

Was that what you were wanting, or am I still not getting it?

Ok, but when you view different websites, do the colors in the corners change with the website, or not? Because when I'm on my home screen with my Pixel 2 it's black, but dependant on the website or the app I'm viewing, my notification bar changes to suit that specific instance like the examples I gave in my last post. So in the case of the first pic you posted, I'd imagine if I viewed that site, my whole notification bar would be white. So they're not forcing it white all the time, it just happened to be white because that's what the website dictated. I don't know, since I don't have a OnePlus 6, if using the notch camouflage setting would force it black or not, or if that only applies on the home screen. When I say notch camouflage, I'm referring to the setting that makes it look like it doesn't have a notch that OnePlus implemented on the 6.
