Chomp SMS and Handcent SMS...WTF?

So I downloaded both of these apps because of certain features that they have and find that these apps force close from time to time and delete ALL of my text messages. Anyone else experience this?

I have been having a few issues lately with my Handcent SMS. Not sure what it is, and honestly, not sure if I like this better or just the regular messaging app. Maybe I am just not using it to its full potential though.

I have used handcent in the past and have never had any of the problems you are having.

That's weird, I've never had an issue with Handcent force closing on me or deleting my texts. Did you try to re-download them?

ive used both and havent had any of those issues... if ur using a custom ROM it could be that causin the issues and not the app by itself. i just used a ROM and had issues like that with a few apps. try reloading the app. if ur using a ROM it could be something that u have to deal with if u wanna keep usin the ROM. u could also try reloading the ROM as well

I have been rooted, but I'm stock now, and the issues are very recent for me..I don't want to point fingers, but it may have something to do with Handcents latest update..

i've been having some issues, but not those you mentioned with handcent. instead of deleting messages, they've been doubling them. I was receiving two sets of the same messages. annoying!

Alls good this way with Handcent......even disabled the SMS popup
