I don't get why people are so hung up on this. If I'm remembering correctly, one of the "hands on" articles from the event yesterday said that the speaker was "insanely" loud. As long as the quality is halfway decent (remember, it's a phone and not a Bose surround sound system), I don't really see what the huge benefit is of two speakers versus one on a phone. I'm no expert (and correct me if I'm wrong), but surely the average ear does not even notice that audio is coming out in stereo when the speakers are not even 5 inches apart.
Agreed... but in the spec wars, this is serious ammo!I don't get why people are so hung up on this. It doesn't matter to me. I was being sad for the guy who wanted it lol
I rarely if ever use the speakers on my phone so I don't care one way or the other. That being said most reviews I read said the speaker comparison from 5x to 6p is a big difference, in favor of the 6p obviously.
The 5x is a phone for the masses. This is a phone for people like us to recommend to our family and friends who are not big into phones. For example, this is a perfect phone for my wife. It's easy for me to recommend it for her because I know the support that it will get. I could recommend this phone to my parents who are the definition of tech illiterate.
Hope I have this right: aren't the Amoled colors a bit over saturated, like on Samsung screens? I think that LCD is easier on the eyes.

So there's no doubting that both new Nexi look like they are going to be fantastic phones. My problem is neither one is the perfect phone for me.
I'm kind of in the same situation. I have both pre-ordered but will only keep one. I love the size of the 5x over the 6p. I loved the original N5. Everything about it. But then again, I'm a geek. And I love the biggest, bestest, and newest. I think about the 6p only being $70 more than the 5x and I lean towards the 6p. Then, I remember how huge it is an I lean towards the 5x.
My advice to you is to just pick one and stick with it and don't have a second thought about the other one. Never go to the forum for the other one you didn't choose and don't read news on the one you didn't choose. That's the only way to do it, otherwise you will always want the one you don't have.
So which one should you choose? As of 12:25 PM on 9/30/15 I am choosing the 5x. The determining factors for me are:
1. Size - I love the size. 5.2" is a great size.
2. Feel - I heard the 5x has the same feel as the 5. The actual physical feel of the soft back and the overall "feel" of the device. Light, easy to hold, yet sturdy.
3. Camera - It has the same sensor as the 5p in a size I prefer. It does not have slo-mo or burst but these are nice to haves, not must haves for me.
4. Notification LED - When I heard the rumor that the 6p had it and the 5x didn't I was leaning 6p, but now that I know the 5x has it, bonus points. Yes I know both have it so it's not really why I chose the 5x but the fact that it wasn't left off helped further sway me to the 5x.
5. LG - I've had the Nexus 4, Nexus 5, and LG G4 and these were 3 of my favorite phones of all time. I like and trust LG.
Pretend you have pre-orders for both and Google called you and said you had to cancel one. Play out the scenarios for canceling each in your head. Would would make you sad? For me I'd be really sad to have to cancel the 5x. The 6p is a beast and nice but isn't the perfect beast for me.
Ok, I've talked long enough. Hope that helps!
The only comment I have ... is that when I went from a 4.7" to a 5.2" device and then from a 5.2" to a 5.96" device, both times it took less than a day for the new one to feel "normal" and less than a week for the old one to feel "small".
My plan was always to buy the 5X due to size and I did just that however after seeing more and more ways the 6P is superior in other regards (screen, build quality, speakers, RAM, battery, etc..) I decided to order one as well so I could compare in hand. It certainly didn't hurt that all of that was only $70 more than the 5X (sadly another sign of how overpriced the 5X is compared to the 6P in the US).
I don't all of a sudden think it will be comfortable in my small hands but I decided it was at least worth a shot, at least it's nowhere near as massive as the Nexus 6 from last year which I tried to like but simply couldn't use it comfortably. Easy enough to return or sell whichever one I decide not to keep.
